Annabel Rackham

Culture reporter covering TV, film, music, fashion and online trends for younger audiences

About me

I’m a multi-skilled reporter at BBC News, with ten years’ experience in entertainment and culture journalism. I write news and features, report live on television and radio, and create content for social media, podcasts, streaming, and YouTube. My specialisms include youth and online culture, fashion, and music, with a focus on reaching under-35s.

From Glastonbury and London Fashion Week to the Brits, Baftas, and Oscars, I cover major cultural events and interview the people behind them. My reporting has appeared across the BBC’s Six and Ten, Breakfast, Radio 1 Newsbeat, 5Live, Radio 4, and the World Service. I am a former BBC Journalism Trainee Scheme and hold an MA in Broadcast Journalism.

Sports reporting and presenting

Outside my work as a culture reporter, I also have an interest in sport - I have worked as a World Cup reporter for BBC News, am a regular panelist on Arsenal's pre-match show Live From N5, have appeared on Premier League Productions' Welcome To The Weekend show and several Arsenal fan podcasts.

I have also spent some time as a lifestyle and wellbeing reporter and have done presenting work at the University of Nottingham as an alumni member.
